Spencer Marquardt of the Finch Knife Co. joins Bob “The Knife Junkie” on episode 228 of The Knife Junkie Podcast. The Finch Knife Company was started by Spencer Marquardt and Steve Laughlin based on a shared love of fishing, hiking, camping and collecting vintage sporting gear. Based on their love of the past and its gear, Finch Knife Co. takes the modern pocket knife and gives it a vintage makeover.
Finch hit the ground running with the Runtly, a small, charming workhorse that bends hallmarks of contemporary knives like the flipper tab, with vintage knives like the shield inlaid in the handle. The Runtly was named after a classic fishing lure called the Heddon River Runt, reflecting Spencer and Steve’s love of fishing.
