Bastinelli Knives R.E.D. (Raptor Extremely Dangerous) Folder Video Knife Review

Without apology, Bastion Coves, the man behind Bastinelli Creations, designs and makes utterly nasty tactical knives with beauty and grace normally seen in art knives, the R.E.D. is no exception.

The design features an incredibly ergonomic handle that absolutely melts into your hand and a broad, high flat ground drop point blade that is all business … whether your business is opening boxes or bad guys.

Lionsteel Knives of Italy produces this one for Bastinelli, so as expected, the fit and finish are outstanding, and riding on the IKBS pivot system, the R.E.D. blade deploys like a dream.

This one was on loan to me by my good friend and JKD, FMA, MDS expert Ian Luwis (check out my interview with him on The Knife Junkie Podcast (Episode #8) and was very difficult to hand back to him after the week!
