Knife Sharpener, Knife Refinisher and Knife Designer Mike Emler of the “Emler Edge” [The Knife Junkie Podcast Episode 124]
Mike Emler, knife sharpener extraordinaire, joins Bob “The Knife Junkie” DeMarco on episode #124 of The Knife Junkie podcast. Emler is so good at knife sharpening that he is known for his “Emler Edge.”
He says he’s not a knife maker and is only maybe a little bit knife designer — think the Stone Fish, Scorpion and soon-to-be released Sea Snake — rather he says that he has designed several knives for himself that other people seem to like. Never one to hold back on his thoughts or opinions, Emler touches on buying American, knife steels and of course, knife sharpening.
